Charlie Graham-May
Charlie Graham-May hails from Temple Cloud, a village between Bristol and Wells. He studied Illustration on Foundation at City of Bath College and then at Bath Spa University. He worked as a freelance illustrator whilst completing his degree and continued doing so until 2004, when he trained to be a teacher.
Charlie taught Life Drawing, Painting and Graphics at City of Bath College for twelve years. he also worked as a set designer for the Performing Arts Department in this time, producing set and props used in the egg Theatre.
Since returning to painting he has produced landscapes and portraits. He has exhibited in London, Bath and Chippenham. He also produces affordable posters and other artwork for the local community.
Charlie has also been involved in public art in and around Chippenham, including street art for Fringe February and John Coles Rainbow, a public installation he organised and led during lockdown.
Charlie is the art leader at Rag and Bone Arts, as well as running Chippenham Life Drawing.
